A bit too much!

Hmm ever made a card and thought 'it's a bit too much'? Well I just have but I'm going to blog it anyway. It's for Papertake's 100th challenge which was to pick any of the 99 so far. I chose Dawny's sketch from 4th May 2009 and also picked the theme of travel / holiday for A Spoon Full of Sugar:

The image is a new digi stamp called Sweet Kiki from All That Scraps. Ice cream in cones always reminds me of summer holidays and this paper from K&Co also makes me think of ice cream too. I think I've overdone it on the colour front!

I went for my first drive in about 3 months this morning. Can you guess where I went? Craft shopping! I took my boys to Hobbycraft and got some papers and a small pink easel.

Blake howled all the way around, ensuring I received plenty of 'can't you stop him crying' looks of pity and when I got to the till the lady said 'maybe she needs a feed?'. SHE???

I know he wasn't in blue but my baby is all boy! That's the fourth time Blake's been referred to as 'she' now! I'll have to get him some very butch outfits.

  1. Not too much - just perfect, I think those colours are delish!

LOL nothing put my nose more out of joint than when people use to wrongly guess my babies gender!! (for god sake 'he' has got pigtails & a dress on!!) Also, Owen was a big baby & I got so annoyed when strangers use to guess 6 moths when he was in fact 4 weeks! haha

    Love Steph x

  2. Haha I could swap baby stories all day!
Another favourite was 'why aren't you at school young man? ....errr...cause he's 1 & a half LOL! He was always on the 97th centile for length - great that they're going to be big strapping lads though right? xxx

My sister was always being called 'he' but to be fair, my mum did have our hair cut so short that we could have joined the marines!!! Fabulous card chick - I love the image and colours you used :) Thank you for joining us over at PTW for our special challenge. Hugs, Dawny xxx

  4. Well done for getting behind the wheel again, next challenge is to drive to me !! Too much is definitely better than not enough and I think your card is perfect ! I think we need to go to plan 'B' and have a large name plate with 'Blake' on it so there's no more confusion, poor lad! Sue x
