Guest DT Spot - Charisma Cardz

This is my first Guest Design Team spot at Charisma Cardz. The theme this week is 'patchwork'. Check out the DT creations, they're brilliant.

I have a two week GDT spot with them so I'll be posting another one next week and I'm chuffed to bits to say I will be joining them for the whole month of September next year too.

I didn't want to make the whole card patchwork so I worked on just the lower part. The card is self-adhesive by DCWV as I don't do fiddly and glue! The embossing folders are Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and borders and the star embossing is a Quickutz folder.

La-La Land Crafts are challenging us to do some distressing this week so I distressed the embossing by sanding over with a nail file (no posh crafting distress tools for me!). The letters are a Quickutz alphabet but I'm not sure which one as it was free with the tool and I threw the box away.

C.R.A.F.T Challenge have set a fab theme of a child's card with a detachable gift and this has a cute little teddy bear charm which can be removed from the window in the card as a keepsake.

My Mum in Law asked for this card as her daughter's friend has just had a baby boy named Harry. Welcome to the world Harry, far too young to appreciate this card but I hope your Mummy and Daddy like it.
