Matching set

ooh eck, I should have posted this on Tuesday and it totally slipped my mind! This week at Cupcake Craft Challenge our theme is to make a matching set. I created these little cards with the gorgeous digi images we were given:

Creative Card Crew Creation

This fortnight at Creative Card Crew our theme is 'Punch it'. You can use any punches or shaped borders etc, loads of choice. We also welcome some new members to our design team: Pauline, Janna and Barbara - welcome ladies! I must also welcome Maria who joined us for our last challenge. Here's my creation:

It's ages since I've used these papers and I don't think I've used this stamp before either so fun on both counts. I've tried a new way with ProMarkers, well new to me anyway by pressing the lighter shade onto the nib of the darker shade and blending that way. Think it works better for me that way.

I used this metal clip out of one of my Stampin' Up! pots to hold the punched sentiment on, I think I'll use these more often as I like the look. I enjoyed straying away from my usual colours to make this one.

Thanks to everyone who's already had a peek at my goodies on ebay, still lots of time to bid for a bargain!

A Cupcake Sketch

This week at Cupcake Crafts Challenge we have a fabulous sketch for you to work with, pop over to take a look and to oggle the DT creations too, they're a bit yummy. Here's my take on the sketch:

All of us on the DT were given these digi images to create our projects with, isn't this little ladie a cutie? I had such a late night last night, no I wasn't up partying or enjoying myself in anyway, I was listing loads of my rubber stamps on ebay!! I've got 58 on there so have a look if you want to grab a January bargain.

Love is in the air

It's time to use our favourite colour combo over at Bee Crafty this fortnight and I've used pink and grey, I meant to use black as well but ended up not doing - as you do! I used this gorgeous free download by Merrigan, I've not used it before and thought it was too lovely to note use and it's free!!

I printed the Love image in grey and then creased my card to the left and cut around the word to create my shaped card. I printed it again with paterned papers and did a little paper piecing, mainly because my grey pens have run out! My dotty paper is SU and the grey one has been loitering in my stash for a while half used so not sure who makes it.  I embossed a strip of pink card with some buttons and added a punched edge in the grey card.

Going Girly

This is mt Design Team creation for Cupcake Crafts this week where our theme is 'going girly'. We were given these lovely images to work with so I chose girly papers and colours.

I'm joining in with these challenges:

I used plenty of glitter on the owl and here's a close up of the button to show you it's a glitter one!

And some news, I've decided to step down from a couple of my Design Team positions - Lily-Boo and Paperplay. I'm also taking a two week break from Die Cut Dreams. Just to re-charge my batteries and give me a bit more me time.

Papertake GDT week two

Well it's my second week doing a GDT spot over at Papertake and this week our challenge is 'New Beginnings'. Here's my creation:

My brother and his girlfriend are due to move anytime now so this will be perfect for their new home card.
I'm joining these challenges:

I used this cute birdie stamp from the Love You Much set by Stampin' Up! and shaded with Copics. I printed the sentiment on the PC as didn't have one in rubber I could use. I embossed the top panel and punched the border using the eyelet border punch. The patterned paper is from the Pink Flamingo set.

Back to school

Our challenge this week at Die Cut Dreams is 'Back to School'. A toughie for me as my boys are way to sarmall for school and I was stuck. But my friends daughter is due to start college in September so I'll save this ready for then:

Well Christmas is well and truely over, hubby started his new job today and thankfully his new boss picked him up as we still can't move our car because of the ice. His boss picked him up on the main road, don't think he fancied risking our road!

I started weaning Blake at the weekend, so funny that it was only 18 months since I weaned Zac and I can't remember what to do. So I bought some baby rice and has to get all my weaning leaflets out again! He seems to like it so fingers crossed he'll start to fill up and maybe, just maybe sleep right through one night - fingers crossed.

Happy Birthday Lucy

My friends little girl is nine tomorrow, I'm sure she won't be looking on here though so should be safe to post this! I've used Suzie fairy by Sally-Ann - cute eh?

We went for a walk in the snow this morning as couldn't get our car up the road - wasn't so easy with the double buggie but with us both pushing we made it! Hope you're nice and warm.
