Not a desk, a bubba and some choccies!

Where to start today? Well as it's Wednesday it's only right to share a pic of my space today. My space being the dining table again as Zac's asleep upstairs and I don't want to disturb him!


















If you're thinking I have the munchies - you're wrong. If you think I'm making something with choccies - you're right, read on! It's Blake! He turned 8 months this week and has celebrated by cutting his two front teeth! So onto my project:

The Digi Stamp Boutique has just released this fab new set of Mothers day images and sentiments, although you could use these images for anything girlie. I love 'em! I decorated up a load of choccies and made a card to match.

I've used the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday challenge and used lots of orange to fit the theme at Stampavie too.

I think these look delicious all together like this. I should have made more!

It's sketch time at Die Cut Dreams

This week at Die Cut Dreams, Karen has created a fabulous sketch for you to follow:

It was a fab sketch to work with and I like the way it helped me produce an uncluttered card too. I used this fab new image from the Spring Coco and friends collection released today at the Digi Stamp Boutique. You can see them here along with some other fab new designs too.

I've used three different embossing folders and decided to emboss over the image too. I wrote the sentiment by hand using a Marker as they have such super fine tips on one end.

Cards for Ginger Jo

Having one of those days today where I planned to do everything and instead have done bits and bobs :(

Still I've stripped a bit more wallpaper off in the hallway, so the chances of getting it finished this side of Christmas are looking more promising!

I managed to get the Mothers Day cards done for Jo and she's nipped round to pick them up. Hmm not sure she concluded from my scan pics if she thinks it's a girl or a boy - she's always wrong (aren't you Jo?) so I was hoping for her opinion and then I can start shopping in the opposite direction!

Anyway, here are the cards:


Doodlebug papers, nestabilities, papermania embellishment, fiskars punch, fiskars emboss plate

Tried something new out on this one. I knew I'd read somewhere that you could use Fiskars embossing plates in the Cuttlebug so I gave it a go. I think I need a new rubber embossing mat as two would be better. But I like the result and it's opened up more options for textured card too. I got the layout of this card and the next one from Nicole Heady's blog.


Pink Petticoat papers, Fiskars punch, Doodlebug ribbon and button, Quickutz

Hmm, in real life this is pistachio and vibrant pink! You'll have to take my word for it. Quite a simple card using Pink Petticoat papers with Quickutz die cut letters. Wanted to use this Doodlebug button but not found the right home for it until now, was a job and half to get the ribbon through though.

Yet more (very pink) Mothers Day cards

After a fab morning at 'Wobbly Ones' club minus a minor incident of a bump to Zac's head (he's OK) I nipped to the florists to drop off the Mothers Day cards I'd made for them. Here they are:



These were made with Pink Petticoat papers and images with a bit of sparkle from Sakura and some gems. Simple but yummy.

I had some paper left over from the card I made for Sheryl last week so used it up here, along with some Doodlebug paper frills.

And finally a simple silver and pink combo finished off with a cute Doodlebug button.

I'm hoping to get a couple of cards made for Ginger Jo this afternoon - fingers crossed, all being well I can post those tomorrow.

More Mothers Day Cards

I was chatting with a lovely friend today who said she must get crafting after seeing the Mothers Day card I'd made for my mum. So I jumped at the chance and offered to make one for her. Luckily for me she asked for it to be in pink - what a hardship!

Another chance to use some gorgeous Pink Petticoat papers.

And here are a couple more I made too. I got to use the MM Slice I won to cut out the letters and am chuffed to bits it cuts through sugary glitter card no problem. Could never get the Cricut to manage it.

I've been wondering how to use these flourish stamps for a while, now I've used them they'll probably be appearing on everything!

Card And Gift For My Mum

My Mum lives in Spain so I have to make and send her Mothers Day card quite early to guarantee it gets to her on time.

I decided to make her a wallet card and pop a few pics of her Grandson in as she hasn't seen him since the beginning of December. I decorated the wallet with some scrummy Pink Petticoat papers inside and out. The greeting is printed on the outside and I stamped the flourish afterwards - a very lucky guess size-wise!

The image and sentiment inside are from the new 'Simply Delightful' range from Pink Petticoat - gorgeous isn't it?

Once I saw the images it gave me so many ideas for Mothers Day cards, I'll be posting some more over the next few days as have to make for Mum in law, Step Mum and some friends have asked me to make some too.
