Nativity an award and a candy update!

I made this card for my friends little boy, Isaac. I thought this cute nativity image by Sally-Ann was perfect for a card for a little boy.

So seven things about me.....

1. I'm so cold today I have my little slippers on with a big fluffy pom pom on the toes - another example of me acting my shoe size not my age
   
2. I went to the film premiere and party for Monsters inc and had a very big cuddle with James P Sullivan - he stank of garlic, quite apt for a monster! (see photo below). I sat next to Brian who was well known for being in Big Brother at the time.
3. I can't stand celery - urgh
4. My first ever job was working in a souvenir shop in Buxton when I was probably too young to be working
5. I get down on the carpet and do 'yogo' with Zac every morning whilst we watch Waybuloo on CBEEBIES!
6. I haven't made my Christmas cards yet - eeek!
   
7. I love rainbows - they always make me smile

Afternoon.

I'm still suffering and Zac has gone off to the in-laws for the day, so while I have a few moments I must post this award that the lovely Chrissie gave to me:

Quick and simple and an award

Well it's another sunny morning here and we're looking forward to venturing out to the city centre in a while. This card is for Cardvaarks - 'pink, black and white and Creative Inspirations - 'spots, dots and circles':



Well after spending a good couple of hours in my craft room yesterday, I only managed to make this one card, how typical is that? The spotty dotty paper is Doodlebug and the butterfly is from Spellbinders. I cut it on black gloss card and it's a bit tricky to show the detail on but here goes:



I also got this award from Chrissie - thanks Chrissie! Like Chrisse I thought it implied I'm a lazy so and so but I did a double check on the spelling too!

Got a bug!

Right it's been another whirlwind of a day and I just have time to pop this on whilst James finishes off the dinner I've started. We're having Spanish tonight! Anyway, this is based on Jill's sketch from Secret Crafters:


Alota stamps, Doodlebug papers, nestabilities, Copics

I saw this image on Natalies blog and had to rush and own it for myself. It's an Alota stamps Ladybug image and I got the set from Dies to Die For. Shaded with Copics and layered on plain and patterned Doodlebug papers.

And now I must thank Chrissie properly for the three blog awards she has given me recently. Thanks Chrissie, really value your friendship. 1. I don't think it was all baby weight!
2. When my boys are asleep, instead of resting or doing any housework I prefer to sneak off to my craft room
3. I really want to paint a wall in my kitchen bright pink (everything else is white)

Polka Dots and some awards too

Sharon has set the challenge this week at Creative Card Crew to use polka dots. I love my dotty Doodlebug papers and found this cute new image to use too:

The image is Millie Mouse with flowers and she's available at the Digi Stamp Boutique. I shaded her with Copics, mounted on Nestabilities and layered up some white card with polka dot papers in Bubblegum. I haven't got time to do anything complicated!

1. I am officially one of the messiest people I know and admire anyone who manages to keep their home pristine and tidy - how do you do it?
2. Me and driving are not best friends. If I can avoid driving I will but do drive to get me about. I once drove into the wall at the bottom of my own driveway
3. I am Mummy to three beautiful children, Flynn, my perfect little guy who tragically died in hospital at 2 days old following birth complications, Zac who is now 18 months old and ??? who is due in 4 weeks
4. I embarrassed my parents as a teenager by being quite a lot of a goth (my mum recently admitted she thought I looked fab!)
5. My childhood dentist was rubbish and I still have 3 milk teeth, one of which is a tad wobbly
6. One of my favourite hobbies is people watching. I'm a nosey soul.
7. I got kicked out of the brownies
8. I'm from Manchester and now live in Nottingham
9. We flew home from our honeymoon in Mexico the day hurricane Isabelle hit America, ours was the only flight not to be cancelled - and I don't like flying
10. I love Marmite
