Don't be square

It's challenge time at Cupcake and this week the theme set by Donna is 'Don't be square' so not square cards or projects this week please! The DT were all given a digi image from our sponsor to work with and I decided on a door hanger for Blake. My friend Sue made a train door hanger for Zac and I've wanted to make something to go with it for ages now. So here's mine:






















I printed the image as big as I could on really sturdy white card (I have a roller free printer so card goes straight through) and then spent what felt like hours cutting around the outside and then inside the tracks with a craft knife - not the sort of lazy girl crafting I normally opt for!! It's all coloured with copics and I've added some jumbo eyelets and ribbon to hang it on the door with. I've had these blue chipboard letters for ages now and never really had any plans for them. Luckily they were the perfect size for this project. The hanger is just shy of 8 inches across to give you an idea of size.

    Wow, this is fantastic :-) You have the patience of a saint to sit and cut all those bits out, but it was well worth the effort.

    This is just awesome!! I can't believe all the cutting you had to do- you must have much more patience then I do. I love the colors. This just pops right of the screen. I love it!!
